For years I haven't had a sight,
for years nothing's been right.
To hide my feelings I've tried,
to friends and relatives I've lied.

Days vanished and years passed,
it has been so long.
To you in my heart,
a place will always belong.

You didn't worry and I didn't care,
but of the pain we were always aware.
It has hurt us since you were gone,
I accept it and you've known.

I've achieved laurels and won acclaim,
but always felt truly lost,
for your love has no price

Why the anguish and the anxiety?
Why the struggle and strangle within?
